Ahmed Shabana

Dr. Shabana is the Smart Government leader in KSA. In his role, he helps government and public sector entities meet the increasing quality of service and efficiency commitments of Vision 2030 by leveraging IBM’s industry-leading solutions.
In his previous role as a Partner in a “Big 4 “ consulting firm, Dr. Shabana has spent 15 years leading large transformation projects in Europe and the US. He has recently moved back to the Middle East to focus on the Public Safety and Utilities sectors. He holds a Ph.D. in IT Management from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and served on the faculty of Texas A&M University before transitioning into consulting. His technical specializations and certifications are in the areas of Information Security, system assurance and Identity and Trust Management systems.
